Vynova aims to meet and, where possible, exceed our industries’ strict Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) standards and regulations. We are committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations in order to remain among the leaders in SHE performance of our industry.

We strive:

  • to protect the health and safety of the people working on our sites, the communities in which we operate, and the users of our products, and
  • to minimise the environmental effects of our operations, as well as of the storage, transport, use and disposal of our products.

This encompasses our commitment to:

  • Act according to the maxim that all injuries, occupational illnesses and accidents are preventable.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, the industry association charters and the Responsible Care® initiative and take any additional measures necessary.
  • Ensure that our stewardship of SHE matters is done in such a way that the community at large and the communities around our sites consider Vynova a good neighbour.
  • Ensure that all employees are responsible for the prevention of injuries, illnesses and environmental incidents. Accepting this responsibility is a condition of employment in our company.

  • Hold our management team and supervisors accountable for SHE results and for the SHE performance of their employees.
  • Train employees thoroughly in work safety and injury prevention.
  • Conduct audits at all levels of the organisation to evaluate work practices and the effectiveness of the SHE program.
  • Correct all deficiencies within an appropriate time frame.
  • Thoroughly investigate all incidents, irrespective of whether they result in injury or not, and to identify their causes and prevent their recurrence.
