Our executive management team brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the chemical industry, gained in executive positions at industry leaders such as Arkema, INEOS, Monsanto and Dow Chemical. That collective chemical industry expertise, combined with the vision and support of our sole shareholder, the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG), makes Vynova an asset to its customers.

Christophe André

CHRISTOPHE ANDRÉ

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Christophe André has over 20 years of business development and general management experience gained at various leading chemical and manufacturing companies. He has served at specialty chemicals company Arkema as Group President of the global Thiochemicals activities and as a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to this, Mr. André held various international senior management positions at specialty chemicals manufacturer Rohm and Haas and served as Managing Director at paper manufacturer Arjowiggins Graphic.

Mr. André is a member of the Board of ECVM, the European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers, and a member of the Steering Board of VinylPlus®, the European PVC industry’s commitment to sustainable development. He also serves on the Steering Board of plastics industry association Plastics Europe. 

Mr. André has a Master’s degree in Engineering from Télécom Paris (France), a Master’s degree in Economics from ESSEC Business School (France) as well as an MBA from INSEAD (France).

HANS MATTHEEUWS

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT FINANCE

Hans Mattheeuws heads the company’s Finance, IT, Tax and Legal activities. Before joining Vynova, he served as CFO and CIO of INEOS ChlorVinyls Belgium. Previous executive experience includes finance leadership positions at Campina and Tessenderlo Group. Mr. Mattheeuws has extensive experience serving in management and financial positions within multinational corporations as well as in smaller entrepreneurial driven environments.

Mr. Mattheeuws has a Master’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and earned his MBA and Master in Controllership from Vlerick Business School (Belgium).

PETER PRINZ

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT TRANSFORMATION AND INTEGRATION

Peter Prinz heads the company’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) activities and supervises the group-wide Sustainability, Business Integration, Human Resources and Communications processes. 

He acquired substantial leadership and managerial experience as a managing director for INEOS ChlorVinyls in Germany. Mr. Prinz‘ experience also includes several operations management positions at the former EC Erdölchemie / BP Köln site (currently INEOS) in Dormagen, Germany.

Mr. Prinz is a member of the General Assembly of the trade association PlasticsEurope Germany and the German PVC industry association VinylPlus Deutschland. He also serves as Vice-Chairman of VCI Nord, the regional chapter of the German chemical industry association.

Peter Prinz has a doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Göttingen (Germany).

JOHAN VAN DEN BROECK

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT COMMERCIAL

Johan Van Den Broeck supervises the company’s group-wide Business Management, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and Procurement activities. He has served previously as Head of Business of Limburgse Vinyl Maatschappij (LVM, historically part of Tessenderlo Group and INEOS ChlorVinyls) and business manager of the chloromethanes business with INEOS ChlorVinyls. Prior to this, Mr. Van Den Broeck held various leadership positions in IT, supply chain and purchasing with Agfa, Dow Chemical and Deloitte before serving as Supply Chain and Purchasing director at Tessenderlo Chemie.

Mr. Van Den Broeck is Chairman of the Management Committee of the European chlorine industry association Euro Chlor.

Mr. Van Den Broeck has a degree in Commercial Engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).

HENK VELDINK

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)

Henk Veldink leads the company’s operations, covering the monomers and polymers plants in Tessenderlo (Belgium), Wilhelmshaven (Germany), Mazingarbe (France), Beek (The Netherlands) and Runcorn (UK). In addition, he supervises the group-wide Technology & Engineering processes.

Mr. Veldink has twenty years of experience in various leadership positions in the chemical industry. He has served as Senior Global Manufacturing Director at Westlake Epoxy. Prior to this, he has held several senior management roles in manufacturing and operational excellence at DSM in Europe and Asia and at GE Plastics.

Mr. Veldink has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente (the Netherlands) as well as an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (the Netherlands).
