Vynova, a leading European PVC and chlor-alkali company, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art hydrogen-fired steam boiler system at its site in Tessenderlo, Belgium. By the end of this year, the company will install a second, identical steam boiler. Thanks to both boilers, Vynova will reduce the CO₂ emissions of its Tessenderlo production site by 10,000 tonnes per year. The project represents a total investment of more than 8 million euros.

Vynova has launched the world’s first range of low-carbon potassium (K) derivatives. Marketed under the VynoEcoSolutions brand, the new K derivatives product line has the lowest carbon footprint available on the market and will help customers across a wide range of industries to manufacture more sustainable products.

Vynova has received a Gold Rating in a recent assessment of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance by EcoVadis. This result places Vynova among the top 5 percent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis within its industry group.

The new and larger facility will replace the company's existing potassium carbonate plant in Tessenderlo and will be constructed to accompany Vynova’s growth, further strengthening its position as Europe’s number one supplier of potassium derivatives.

International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) and Vynova Group are pleased to announce the appointment of Christophe André as new President of Vynova Group, with effect from 1 September 2021. Christophe André will succeed Stefan Sommer, who will retire as President of Vynova Group and assume the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vynova Holding.
