We will soon be looking for a Production Manager for our site in Tessenderlo.


You manage and support production activities to ensure that production plans can be realised within the projected budget and timing and within the prescribed quality, safety and environmental requirements.


•    You organize and coordinate the production department in order to meet projected production targets, taking into account the available resources;
•    You implement production time tables and ensure the efficient use of personnel, materials, methods and processes in order to ensure that production can be done according to plan and in compliance with the quality norms and cost targets;
•    You analyse proposals for the improvement of production installations and co-ordinate improvement proposals to other stakeholders, in order to ensure that the latest techniques can be applied to optimise the production process;
•    You coach, manage and train employees, to make optimal use of their competencies, skills and know-how and reinforce the operations of the department;
•    You follow up on and consult on a day-to-day basis with production planning and adjust the planning to the needs of the client and the company;
•    You supervise compliance with guidelines within the department by sensitizing personnel to work in conformity with the prescribed safety and quality standards;
•    With your technical expertise, you give support in finding solutions to technical problems. You keep your expertise up-to-date in function of market evolutions;
•    You draw up and follow up the budget within the own production department;
•    You are responsible for the communication between the production department and the rest of the organisation. You translate the company’s interests and needs in order to contribute to the organisation’s objectives;
•    You take responsibility for compliance with guidelines and rules concerning SHE and ISO (ISO 500001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, …).


•    You have a Master’s degree in engineering (chemical / bio engineering) or other relevant education;
•    You have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience;
•    You are safety conscious, have a strong safety attitude and are able to guide employees in a constructive way with regard to safety;
•    You are a result-oriented people manager and have an urge to continuously improve, both process-wise and by coaching employees;
•    You have strong communication abilities; 
•    You have excellent project management and planning skills and you work in a structured way;
•    Proven experience with improvement techniques & project management and knowledge of and experience with processes and tools associated with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green / Black Belt) is an added value
•    You are Dutch-speaking and have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French and German is an additional advantage;
•    You are willing to be on guard duty.
