The European Social Fund (ESF) was started to help individuals gain the skills required to find good jobs and become successful employees. Vynova has joined this effort in cooperation with the Technisch Heilig-Hartinstituut, a secondary school in Tessenderlo, to implement a pilot project on dual education. The dual education system combines apprenticeships in a company and education at a vocational school.
The project ran from September 2017 to August 2018 and was carried out with the financial support of the European Social Fund (ESF), the European Union and the Region of Flanders.
As part of the project, students enrolled in the Chemical Process Techniques course at the Technisch Heilig-Hartinstituut combine school courses with an apprenticeship as process operator at Vynova Belgium. The students learn both the theoretical knowledge of chemical processing and also gain industry practise with a focus on important on-the-job skills. Vynova is pleased to play a role in the crucial transition period of students entering the workforce.
More information on the goals and results of the project can be found in the project description (only in Dutch).
